CINNAMON COVE LIFESTYLE
Entertainment
The greater Fort Myers area offers many professional entertainment venues for your enjoyment.
A popular favorite among our residents, the
Barbara B. Mann Performing Arts Hall
is the premier place for Broadway musicals in Fort Myers. Located on
the Edison Community College campus, it's the only theater in the area
with the size and technology to host musicals like Guys and Dolls, as
well as rock and jazz concerts and much more. The Hall is also the home
of the Southwest Florida Symphony from December through April. The Hall
is only 6 miles from Cinnamon Cove.
Located a very short distance from Cinnamon Cove, the
Broadway Palm Dinner Theater
has been in existence for over 17 years and has had over 175,000 theater
patrons this year. The main stage area seats 450. The Off-Broadway Palm,
a 90 seat theatre, is adjacent. The main stage area features an award-winning
buffet and offers eight (8) Broadway style musicals each season. The
2010-2011 season will include: I Love a Piano, Hairspray, Holly Jolly
Christmas, The Full Monty, The Unsinkable Molly Brown, Smoke On The
Mountain and Annie. This theatre is open year-round, provides handicapped
accessible seating, and offers hearing assistance devices.
Located in the heart of the Fort Myers River District, the
Florida Repertory Theater
is part of a relatively young community that is growing and developing
rapidly. Housed in the completely renovated Arcade theater, the 'Rep'
sits on the banks of the Caloosahatchee River within walking distance
of the marina and a plethora of affordable restaurants. Florida Rep
is a not-for-profit theatre group headed by Producing Artistic Director
Robert Cacioppo. Although formed in 1998, the ensemble-based company
is a continuation of the troupe that Cacioppo developed over a twenty-year
period on Sanibel and Captiva, chiefly at the Pirate Playhouse. It is
a fully professional Equity company on contract with the Actors' (AEA),
Directors' (SSDC) and Designers' (USA) unions, and comprised of professional
actors, stage managers, directors, designers and technicians.

events in Florida ... attracting over 100,000 attendees. Now in its

resources, which are considered the best in the world for sand sculpting
events. The combined lineup of Master Sculptors participating this year,
hold an amazing 36 World Sandsculpting Championship titles. There are
lessons in sandcastle construction, a sandcastle competition and live
