Boardroom Notes and Etc.

A Membership Meeting of Cinnamon Cove was held on April 22 at 10:00 AM for the purpose of tallying the results of the proxy vote regarding the security gates. Without a majority vote in favor of changing to the electronic system, the resolution failed and the guards will remain.

The Master Board met immediately following the membership meeting.

Jeanne Hopkins, our Activity Director informed us of the upcoming events including the Derby Party which will be held May 4th at the clubhouse. We will be having a Mother’s Day Brunch on April 11th. Volunteers are always welcomed for these events. Armchair Theater and Cabaret will be added to the new events next season. The Cabaret will be in conjunction with the Ice Cream Socials and will feature C.C. talent. A new portable stage has been ordered for the clubhouse.

Owners soon will be receiving another proxy in which you will be asked to vote on the installation of a toilet and sink in the guardhouse. It will be installed in a closet that is available in the guardhouse. Since this is deemed to be a material alteration, it is necessary to receive a majority vote (or 386 yes votes) in order for this work to be done.

We hope that all of you snowbirds have a wonderful summer! Meanwhile, the rest of us will enjoy summer dinners and continued activities at the clubhouse and relaxation at the beach!
