Master Board October Update and Schedule

posted Oct 9, 2016, 12:17 PM by Micheline LeBlanc   [ updated Oct 9, 2016, 12:17 PM ]

Hello Cinnamon Cove Friends,

This is a reminder that the first master board meeting of the season will be Monday, October 17 at 10 in the clubhouse.  The number one item on the agenda is the budget.  The board members will vote to send it along to the residents and the board will then adopt it at the next meeting.

Also on the agenda we will discuss the new entry system (transponders), landscaping and some other issues that arose over the summer.

The board approved a new entry system to The Cove last spring with the main goal to enhance security.  This was a major concern for many residents, so that is why this new system was investigated and, after much discussion and consultation, approved.

Some points that may be of assistance as you plan to get your transponder:

·         Several dates are set for you to get your transponder installed.  The next date is Saturday, October 15.  This will take place in the clubhouse parking lot from 10 to 12.  If you can’t make it that day, check the web site for future dates.

·         It is imperative that you go to the website https://community.dwellinglive.com and register your vehicle.  This will speed up the process when you come to the transponder installation.

·         You should have received a notice in the mail during the summer with pertinent information.  In particular, this notice has a registration code that you will need to enter, and then follow the directions.

·         If, for some reason, you don’t have your form which includes your registration code, you can call Island Management to get it.  That number is 239-454-3525.

·         On the last date transponders were installed, the average time for this process was about two minutes.  That can be speeded up if you input your info beforehand.

·         Also…if you arrive at the clubhouse and notice a long line of cars, don’t wait in line…come back later.  There’s no sense in sitting in your car and using gas when you don’t have to.

·         Each owner will receive two transponders if two vehicles are registered to the owner. Note…the transponder must be installed by a trained person, so an extra vehicle must be brought to the processing area for transponder installation.  A charge of $10.00 will be paid for any additional transponder given to an owner.

Here is what is needed in order for Owners and Renters to receive transponders:

·         Bring Driver’s License and Registration for the vehicle(s).

·         A completed Transponder Form can be obtained on the Cinnamon Cove website or in the clubhouse office.

·         For renters renting 90 days or longer, including yearly renters, a copy of the lease needs to be provided in order to receive a transponder. There will be a $10.00 charge for the transponder.

·         Renters who rent less than 90 days will receive a paper pass at the Welcome Center good for the duration of their stay.  Again, a copy of the lease will need to be provided for this.

Also, don’t forget, the old clickers are still good until April 1, 2017 as an alternative to entry to Cinnamon Cove.  Please know…in order to gain entry into Kelly Greens, you must use the clicker.  So don’t get rid of it.

Yes, there are questions and unforeseen scenarios that will present themselves as we progress through this process.  So your patience is requested along with your understanding that we are learning this as we go along.  We have tried to cover all the bases, but know there are too many to anticipate all issues or questions.  So, if you have a problem, remember the folks who are helping you are volunteers and they will do everything to make your experience with this new system as painless as possible.

Safe travels as you head to CC.  Look forward to seeing you soon for another great season in our great little spot in South Florida.
