March Pre-Meeting Update

Hello Cinnamon Cove Friends,

Hope this note finds you well as we finally are turning the corner toward Spring.

Don’t forget the March Board of Directors Meeting which is scheduled for Monday, March 16 at 10 am in the clubhouse.  Please plan to attend so you can keep up with what’s going on in The Cove.  Attendance at the all of this season’s meetings has been very good, so let’s continue with that.

            Some items of interest:

·           If you have never checked out the Cinnamon Cove web site, do yourself a favor.  It’s chocked full of info that is very useful and helpful for residents and renters alike.  If you are an absentee owner, advise your renters to look at it to bring them up to speed on everything about The Cove.  www.cinnamoncove.com

·           Speaking of web sites…several associations have or are in the process of creating a web site.  If your association is one of these, please advise us about this.  Contact Mickie LeBlanc, (leblanc410@gmail.com) our webmaster.  She will be sure to put a link to your site on the main CC site.  Here is the link to current sites we are aware of: http://www.cinnamoncove.com/home/associations

·           Perhaps you noticed some damage to the rear entrance gate.  We were able to view the video of the incident.  Unfortunately, the camera angle did not give us a license plate view, but the car was visible.  Board members are on the look out for the car…hopefully it will surface soon.  It was an accident, so, my thought is…why not go to the guard and explain what happened.  You will still have to pay for the damage, but at least you will be honest.

·           Because of poor weather, the planned resurfacing of the tennis courts did not happen.  But that job is rescheduled for March 20, 21, 22.  So, there will be no tennis or pickleball that weekend.

·           You may have noticed more new signs around the pools and clubhouse.  We are trying to update old, faded signs particularly No Smoking signs.

·           Don’t forget, Cinnamon Cove is a recycling community.  PLEASE do not put any recyclable materials in your association dumpsters.  Every association has recycling areas or separate recycling bins…use them.  Here’s one other thing about recycling.  Plastic bags are not allowed in the recycling…shopping bags, newspaper bags, bread bags---no good.  You can recycle these at Publix and Wal-Mart.

·           We have had another issue with a pool heater.  The pool heater at the Caravel pool next to Building 12 continues to be tampered with.  Someone bypasses the lock on the cover to get to the controls.  My question is…why?  This will be repaired and the controls will be set so no one will be able to reset the temperature.

·           If you are a regular at the clubhouse, you may have noticed a rather large jug of pennies on the counter next to the Ronald McDonald house pop top container.  Do you save pennies, or is your purse or car console overflowing with them?  Why not put them in the jug?  When the jug is full, its contents will be donated to The Ronald McDonald House.

·           Don’t forget….when walking…face traffic…when riding your bike…ride with the traffic.  Always wear light colored clothing and carry a light source at night.

Hope to see you at the Variety Show, or, if not, around The Cove.
