CCMA President Update 10/2/20

posted Oct 2, 2020, 9:02 AM by Micheline LeBlanc
Hello Friends and Neighbors,
I am going to try a less formal way of presenting my report on the Master Board meetings, if you prefer this way please let me know.
President Bill Durkee announced that the lake project is on hold due to the fact that the lakes are very full, work should be able to proceed next week when the levels are down a bit. He also reminded the Board to let their associations know that signs of any kind are not permitted in Cinnamon Cove. The only exception being open house signs on Saturday and Sunday from 1 pm to 5 pm. If residents are displaying signs they are asked to please remove them, so that we do not have to do it for them. This is just part of being a good neighbor. Also if your name is not on the deed to your unit your name  will not be placed on the president's email list.
The Treasurer's report showed that as of August 31st  we are $33,000. in the black, this mostly a result of Covid 19.
Cali Dorward was welcomed on board by the Board and she gave a short report about the meet and greets that she is holding front of the clubhouse. She is also very busy getting events lined up for the calendar should we have a chance to open the clubhouse for events in the near future.
Michael reported that Spinnaker Pool has a new heater and the fence at the Bayleaf pool was in the process of being repaired from the fallen tree. He also reported that the maintenance list given to him by the grounds and buildings committee was almost complete.
There were no committee reports given as most of the committees had not met in August.

The Board voted to reopen the exercise room starting next Monday, with multiple stipulations:

        A. The room is only open Monday through Friday from 8am to 4pm.
        B. Residents are allowed 1 hour per day and no more than 3 persons in the room at a time.
        C. There will be a sign up sheet at the office and you must sign up for the time that you wish to use the room. You also must fill out a liability waiver at the office before using the room.
        D. All equipment used must be sanitized before and after use by the person using the equipment.
        E. A mask is required and social distancing must be adhered to, and the room is only accessible by going into the back door by the exercise room. There is to be no walking through the clubhouse at this point.
         F. Anyone not following the rules posted will be asked to leave and their use of the exercise room withdrawn.

The Board also voted to purchase 2 POW and MIA flags to be displayed on the flagpole at the clubhouse and also along Cinnamon Cove Boulevard. The Board also voted to purchase a new rubber floor for the exercise room and the room will be closed when the flooring is here and can be installed. Also the Board voted to paint the welcome center.
Bids for the roofing project at the clubhouse were presented and there were some questions raised so Bill Durkee, Michael and Walter were going to meet to discuss the issue and get back to the Board. The Master Board also decided to hold an orientation work-shop in October, facilitated by Carol Gilson.
Reported by Jim Drake, Master Board Representative for Terrace II
Thank You,
William J. Durkee, CPA, CCMA President
